The two articles introduced in detail about the Web 2.0 learning system. This is an educational system created to better fit in the rapidly changing pace in the twenty-first century. In article web 2.0, authors talk about what it means by learning and knowledge, and it says that “knowledge is something that can be stored in a specific place and transformed to others.”In introducing the meaning of cognitivism and connectivism, it also teaches us the difference between instruction and learning. They give a very good point that “learner is not a ‘receptacle’ for knowledge, but rather a participant in the dynamic creation and /or discovery of what is to be learned, in the process making learning outcomes contextualized and relevant.” Web 2.0 and skill 2.0 strengthened the effectiveness of learning by using modern technologies such as blog, webcam etc.
I have very optimistic point of view about this newly developed web 2.0 system. First of all, it extends the learning location far beyond school, which has been the main education environment for centuries in human history. It can apply new training programs into companies, which will help the company to grow by providing new trainings to employees, and avoid the expenses on traveling. Secondly, twenty-first century is fast changing time regarding the information system. Online schooling will be able to transfer news and updated knowledge into teachings in the shortest time. The interaction and relationship between instructors and learners has changed from the traditional roles. Last of all, this system provides flexible schedule to different individuals, which gives more people to have the opportunity to learn and grow.
